1. Sign in
We make a wallet for you, or use one you already have. Payouts go there.
2. Check your provider
Check that your provider account permits this use, that the key has available credit or included capacity, and that it can access the models you want to list. Use a dedicated API key. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription alone is not an API credit balance.
3. Connect a key
Pick the provider. Venice, Capminal, OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral, and more. Paste the key. Surplus checks it and stores it encrypted. We never keep a copy.
4. Pick models
We preselect the model the key just passed. The rest are ranked by recent demand. Change the set if you want.
5. Review selling controls
Autopilot is on by default and uses an automatic minimum for your provider. Leave it blank, or raise it if you want a smaller discount. Set one daily key budget; it is shared across the selected models.
6. List
Each model goes live on Surplus. Autopilot keeps its price competitive, raises it when the market permits, and never goes below your minimum.
7. Get paid and cash out
Earnings accrue per request. Open Sell to see received totals — All time is on the chart when you are in a shorter window, and on Payouts as a tile. Surplus pays your wallet automatically at $5 or after 72 hours. Then use Revolut, Monzo, Chime, or Zelle directly; Venmo, Cash App, Wise, and PayPal need a one-time Verify on desktop Chrome.
Questions
- Why does my API key fail to connect?
- Check that you selected the provider that issued the key, then check the key, balance, and model permissions in that provider’s dashboard. A rejected key and an exhausted balance need different fixes: replacing a key does not add credits. Follow the specific error shown in the app; if the provider is temporarily unavailable, retry later.
- Who holds my key?
- Surplus. Encrypted per listing. We never keep it.
- Do I need another account?
- No. Sign in here. That's it.
- What does it cost?
- Sell and cash out with no tokensto.cash fees. Send costs 0.5% of the amount you enter; the recipient receives the rest.
- How do I see all my earnings?
- Open Sell. The chart is received USDC; All time sits beside a 7- or 30-day window, and Payouts lists every batch. Accrued earnings that have not reached your wallet yet sit under Awaiting. Ready on Payouts is what the wallet holds now: received, plus anything you sent in yourself, minus cash-outs and sends.
